Our 2017 harvest was magical, and both wines from this crop are superb. This wine has a profound depth with gentle tannins and high acid typical of our wines. The palette has lovely notes of ripe strawberry, blackberry, minerals, and warm spices. The aromatics conjure hints of raspberry and thyme. This wine will have a long life in the cellar, improving with time. A true classic.
We picked August 31st and September 3rd at 23.7 degrees Brix, 1.0 total acidity, and 3.15 pH. The wine rested for nearly two years in 60 gallon Francois Freres oak barrels. There are only 100 cases.

This clone-specific offering comes from a small block of our vineyard. Our 2017 crop was exceptional, and this is a very special wine. It is well balanced, tasting of sweet cherry, rose petal and baking spice. It has supple tannins with a long and beautiful finish. The bouquet brings hints of ripe berries and pepper.
We picked on August 31st at 24 degrees Brix, 0.9 total acidity, and 3.15 pH. The wine rested for nearly two years in 60 gallon Francois Freres oak barrels. There are only 48 cases.
