McHenry Vineyard, 2012 Pinot Noir, Estate, Santa Cruz Mountains
This is a luscious wine that has all the magic of great Pinot Noir. Its bouquet is hauntingly complex with hints of violets and damp forest floor. It caresses the mouth with a delightful mix of tenderness and depth.
The grapes come entirely from our dry-farmed, 2 acre vineyard in Bonny Doon, which lies on a sandy mountain slope at 1,800 feet elevation and about 5 miles from the ocean. We picked on September 14 at 23.9 degrees Brix, 0.8 total acidity, and 3.4 pH. The wine rested for nearly two years in 60 gallon French oak barrels.
There are only 330 cases. $34 per bottle, $360 per case, Alc. 13.9% by volume.
McHenry Vineyard, 2012 Pinot Noir, Estate Swan Clone, Santa Cruz Mountains
We are delighted to present the 2012 Estate Swan Clone Pinot Noir. It is extraordinarily delicious. The perfume is wonderfully complex with notes of blackberries, violets, and damp forest. The luscious feel in the mouth is a pleasing balance of softness and richness. The finish lingers beautifully.
The grapes are from a small block of our dry-farmed, 2 acre vineyard derived from cuttings that ultimately came from Joe Swan's vineyard in the Russian River Valley. We picked on September 14 at 24.0 degrees Brix, 0.8 total acidity, and 3.2 pH. The wine aged in 60 gallon French oak barrels for nearly two years.
There are only 96 cases. $38 per bottle, $410 per case, Alc. 13.8% by volume.

McHenry Vineyard, 2010 Pinot Noir, Estate, Santa Cruz Mountains
In our 35 years of receiving the gift provided by our vines, the 2010 harvest was the best. Most importantly, the
quality was as close to perfect as we had ever seen. The sugar rose to 24.7 degrees Brix while retaining the perfect
tartness (0.9TA percent by volume, 3.3 pH). Such precious fruit deserves the best cooperage including new
Francois Freres French oak (at $1,000 each). We hope you will enjoy this wine with the same delight as our family.
Our long experience teaches us that for the wines of this sacred spot in the Santa Cruz Mountains, one needs
patience. The 2010 Estate is gorgeous now and it will develop beautifully with bottle aging.

McHenry Vineyard, 2010 Pinot Noir, Estate Swan Clone, Santa Cruz Mountains
One block of our vineyard contains plants derived from cuttings originally from Joe Swan’s vineyard. We have
noticed over the years that this clone had special qualities. In 2010 the Swan block ripened beautifully
(25.4 degrees Brix, 3.3 pH, 0.9 TA percent per volume) and resulted in a wine over 14% alcohol that was perfectly
balance by blending it with 34% of our clone 13 grapes. We are so pleased by the result! Its luscious aroma
is beyond simple description or comparison. It is a nectar of pleasure. Serve this at special occasions with
almost any gourmet meal and guests will be delighted. If you have a way of aging wine with steady and cool
temperatures, this wine will explode with unbelievable bottle bouquet beyond even its beauty at this moment.

McHenry Vineyard, 2009 Pinot Noir, Estate, Santa Cruz Mountains
We still have a few cases of this delicious wine that came from our grapes with perfect ripeness (23.5 degrees Brix) while
sustaining the ideal level of tartness (0.8 TA, percent by volume, 3.3 pH). We picked on September 15. It rested
for 20 months in 60 gallon Francois Freres barrels. It has a pleasing and complex aroma with a hint of smokiness
derived from the nearby Lockheed forest fire. It is soft and luscious in the mouth and it leaves a most gorgeous
feel at first swallow. Whenever we serve it to our friends, the bottle disappears very quickly.
We are incredibly indebted to the heroic efforts of over 2,000 fire-fighters who quelled the great fire before
it destroyed all of our sacred redwood forests. We pledge to donate one dollar of every bottle sold through
the winery to support Bonny Doon Fire and Rescue.
